Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao defeats Joshua Clottey and retains tite in a hard-fought fight!
WBO welterweight champion and World’s best pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) from the Philippines scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision against former IBF champion Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20 KOs) from Ghana in front of a crowd of 50+ thousand at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas Saturday night.

First, reports says that Charice will sing the Philippine National Anthem in the Pacquiao-Clottey bout, but then Arnel Pineda, the Filipino front man of Journey, confirms that he was personally invited by Manny Pacquiao to sing the National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” in his fight.
“Pupunta ako sa Dallas to sing sa laban ni Manny [Pacquiao]. This Thursday [ang alis ko]. I’m really happy kasi matutuloy na. Nahihiya na ako kay Manny kasi pangatlong invitation na ito sa akin. Baka kasi isipin ay iniisnab ko. So finally, matutuloy na.” said the Filipino frontman of popular American rock band “Journey”. He said he was not able to sing in Manny’s previous fights because of his busy schedule as Journey’s vocalist.

It is final, Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao will fight former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion Joshua Clottey on March 13, 2010 instead of Floyd Mayweather at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
In the records, Clottey has 35-3, 20 KOs. He is a native of Ghana but currently lives in New York City and is considered to be a hard hitter. He is reportedly a worthy welterweight opponent for Pacquiao, with a record of 50-3, with two draws. Incidentally, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is also said to be fighting on the same day as the Pacquiao-Clottey match.

After verbally agreed on March 13, 2010 fight, the Pacquiao-Mayweather is now on jeopardy when Mayweather camp asked for drug test before the fight which Pacquiao camp don’t agree. Bob Arum said the fight is off. He also said, “We’re going in a different direction. What I believe is that Floyd never really wanted the fight and this is just harassment of Pacquiao.”
Mayweather Sr. is accusing Pacquiao of taking an illegal substance whenever he has fight which Pacquiao denied because he never failed a drug test. Until both party work it out, the fight is still unclear.

Manny Pacquiao wins 7th of his world title and as one of the world’s greatest boxers and again put the Philippines on spotlight after he scored a 12th round technical knockout (TKO) victory over Miguel Cotto.
The referee stopped the fight 55 seconds of the 12th round. The Philippines celebrates Manny’s victory.

The Pambansang Kamao Manny Pacquiao will be the first boxer in history to win seven world titles if he beats WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto this November. If that happens, he will make history as the first boxer in the world to have seven (7) titles.
Finally, Cotto has agreed to fight at 145 pounds with his title on the line this November which scheduled on the 14th at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout is titled as “Firepower”.
