Dolphy, the king of Comedy was an exclusive star of ABS-CBN network in the last 2 decades. Happened to made a decision after meeting with TV5 executives last week promised to give him a sitcom with some of his children.
In an interview by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Dolphy explains his decision to transfer:
“I think ABS-CBN felt bad about it. But I just wanted to work. I’ve been waiting for a job for the past 3 years,” he said. “I love ABS-CBN, but I need to move on. I’ll be working with TV5 in the meantime, but anytime ABS-CBN needs me, I’ll just be here.”
ABS-CBN network, on the other hand, through their head of Corporate Communications Bong Osorio issued a short statement regarding the transfer, see below:
“Mang Dolphy has told us about his decision to transfer. We wish him well and to ABS-CBN he will always remain a Kapamilya”.
The king of Comedy assured ABS that he will remain open if ever the kapamilya network needs him. His contract with TV5 is non-exclusive, that means, he can come back to ABS-CBN in the future.
Aside from Dolphy, the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano also signed same non-exclusive contract with TV5. The Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces and the Optimum Star Claudine Barretto, was also transferred to another station, GMA-7.
Who else will transfer ? Willie , Pokwang ? joke only. Please share your comments.

Maigi pa nga i transfer nalang si Willie sa Kapuso para mabawasan ang kabastusan nyan! Si Pokwang nawawala ang pag ka wholesome dahil nahahawa ke Willing bastos! Magtitino ang mga artista ng abs pag nalipat sa ibang network. Tama lang yan pidol at maricel wag na kayong mag balak bumalik.

I agree with you telebadaf…Willie does not need to transfer to any network bc he doesn’t deserve to be in any shows at all. His arrogant and rude to some of his contestants. He’s not helping them he makes a joke of them on the show and embarrasses them whenever he feels like it…this is not a true persona…

sayang na man palang pilikola ang comedy king pabotirito pa na man namin ang xomidy king at ang diamond star c maricel nang hihinayang kami nang family ko kasi bakit hindi man lang nabigyan nang pilikola or telesirya man lang kaming lahat nang family ko omaasa pana man kaming lahat na makita moli na min ang komidy king and maricel…. kaya hindi talaga kami lomilipat nang ibang channel in they half of family go nang hihinayang kami

about king of the comedy ,he did a good job in the past so many years. halos nga mga kasabayan nya eh passed away na. pabayaan nmn natin sya sa gusto nya. anyway sabi nmn nya anytime they want him ok lng sya. bout maricel, yes i do miss her too. shes a good actress may karapatan nmn cl pumili or pumunta san nila gusto,trabaho lng walang personalan. ganun tlg panapanahon lng ang buhay.bwt tao may karapatan ok.

i feel sorry for the kapamilya channel that most of thier bankable stars have been moving to some other networks, to name a few, the likes of heart e., claudine b., ryan a., etc., and we are still seeing some of them guesting as well for instance judy ann, jericho and others.whats happening kapamilya?

I strongly beleive that the 2010 automatic election will fail,because if they have already problems with 450 eligeble voters on mock elections. How much more if there would 50 million voters. There source code which can be move few zeros on the left on the rigth and few zeros on the top and the bottom, is very easy to tamper even it is 128 bit cyphering how about 10 to the power of -26 encryption would be better. Picos machine will just be a matique-matique machines.

ABS-CBN have no compassion with their actors and actresses esp the old timer who are a great stars. Sa kanila pag old ka na chew out ka na they like young actors and actres for what money. Hindi sa Kapuso talagang tinutulugang nila yun mga old timer to go back to circulation dahil kung hindi sa kanila this movie industries is nothing.Kaya kahit umalis ang mga actor & actresses sa kapuso buong puso nila tinatanggap. What I notice sa ABS-CBN pag walang pera kang pinasok sa kanila you are nothing and it’s so sad esp. for Dolphy & Maricel na alam mong mahusay sa lahat at nagpapasay sa tao.Ngayon lumipat ngayon sila affected bakit akala nila sila lang ang network shame on them.

Di naman kabayan ganun ang abscbn na kapag old na eh wala na sa circulation.karamihan nga poh ng mga program nila ay may mga old actors and actresses. kaya nga everytime nood kami sa abscbn eh napapanood namin sila like gina pareno,albert martinez, gabby c. atbp. so, di po totoo un. it just happen na may malaking offer lang sa kabilang station cla mang dolphy at ms.maricel. dun kay willie naman, marami syang natutulungan kahit sabihin na ganun sya.

This means that Dolphy and Maricel Soriano are true artists who have the vocation to deliver happiness to every filipinos around the globe. they don not deserve for couple with out doing nothing, they need to use their talents cause they are brilliant actor and actress. They have proven a lot in thier career and many fipilino miss them on air.

sayang talaga na nag transfer sa ibang network ang mga paborito kung mga artista…kagaya ni tito dolphy, maricel soriano. but ok na rin at least pinasikat nyo ang melason. na tutuwa talaga ako sa dalawang yan. more power ABS CBN.

well as for my own opinion, right ni mang dolphy or maricel soriano na magtransfer sa ibang channel. actually wala naman dapat exclusivity e. kasi they are serving the public with their profession. so, do not hate abs for letting this big stars go, if they are not happy with abs why should they stay. dun n lng tayo sa magiging fair and masaya para sa lahat….. getz?
