WBO welterweight champion and World’s best pound-for-pound fighter Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) from the Philippines scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision against former IBF champion Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20 KOs) from Ghana in front of a crowd of 50+ thousand at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas Saturday night.

First, reports says that Charice will sing the Philippine National Anthem in the Pacquiao-Clottey bout, but then Arnel Pineda, the Filipino front man of Journey, confirms that he was personally invited by Manny Pacquiao to sing the National Anthem “Lupang Hinirang” in his fight.
“Pupunta ako sa Dallas to sing sa laban ni Manny [Pacquiao]. This Thursday [ang alis ko]. I’m really happy kasi matutuloy na. Nahihiya na ako kay Manny kasi pangatlong invitation na ito sa akin. Baka kasi isipin ay iniisnab ko. So finally, matutuloy na.” said the Filipino frontman of popular American rock band “Journey”. He said he was not able to sing in Manny’s previous fights because of his busy schedule as Journey’s vocalist.

Actress TV host Ruffa Gutierrez raised the flag for “peace, piss, fish” as she accepts Kris apology. Ruffa left in the middle of her talk show The Buzz last Sunday when she got hurt by Kris Aquino’s remarks regarding her transfer to TV5. The alleged “walk out” happened during the POV (Points of View) segment.
The issue was magnified after the rival program, “Showbiz Central” aired a phone patch interview to Ruffa’s mom, Annabelle Rama, expressing her disgust on Kris Aquino.

Melai, full name Melisa Cantiveros of GenSan got her fairytale ending after she was announced “Big Winner” of the phenomenal hit reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up” last Saturday (Feb 13) at the “Big Date on the Big Night” in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Known to be the “Inday Kengkay of Gen San”, she won a close fight with second Big placer Paul Jake Castillo, who was revealed to be leading the votes when Big Brother showed the tally last Tuesday (Feb 9).
